Materials range

Three ways to spec a house. They can mix by room.

Healthy sits at one end: low-VOC, biophilic, better indoor air (solid wood, natural stone, wool, water-based finishes). Luxury natural materials sit with that set more often than not (real stone, real terrazzo, solid wood paneling, glass block). Economy-first is the other end: the look at a lower cost (LVP, builder-grade, vinyl that reads as stone).

Light is the first material. Sound and feeling follow. This is how the house should live - not a clinical brief.

Upstairs bedrooms currently have no lights. Overhead, lamps, both? Any main-floor fixtures already picked?
